Aimee Hubbard – MS
Aimee’s specialization is working with couples, however she also see’s individuals and whole families as well. Deciding to go to therapy can be like looking for a missing puzzle pieces, people have a lot going for them in their relationships, but struggle to put the entire puzzle together. She believes that by creating a compassionate and caring space in therapy she can help people find those missing puzzle pieces and put everything together, so life can feel more “whole.”
During sessions she works to help people experience each other in a new way, which can open-up conversation and facilitate problem solving. Her goal in therapy is to increase understanding, in hopes of creating a more peaceful home environment.
She has further developed her specialization with couples by attended workshops on couple’s sexuality with Dr. David Schnarch and becoming a Gottman certified therapist. She also has recently completed the initial training in Discernment Counseling for couples on the brink of divorce. She received her B.A in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Morris before completing her master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Kansas State University. She is currently working on completing her Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Minnesota
