Aimee Hubbard – MS
Aimee specializes in working with couples, though she see’s individuals and whole families as well. A variety of things can bring people to therapy, but she has found that most often what people are seeking is like a missing puzzle piece. In most cases people have a lot going for them and their relationships but struggle to put the whole puzzle together. Therapy can be a place to find that missing puzzle piece or put things all together so life can feel more “whole.” By creating a compassionate, understanding, and caring environment Aimee helps people find those missing pieces.
In session she works to help people experience each other in a new way, which can open-up conversation and facilitate problem solving. Her goal in therapy is to increase understanding, with the hope of creating a more peaceful home environment.
While she works with individuals and families, her specialization is with couples. She has attended workshops on couple’s sexuality with Dr. David Schnarch and am a Gottman certified therapist. She also has recently completed the initial training in Discernment Counseling for couples on the brink of divorce. She received my B.A in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Morris before completing her master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Kansas State University. She is currently working on completing her Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Minnesota.
