Chantel Jordan – B.A.
Chantel is a graduate student pursuing her degree in Counseling Psychology at Northwestern University’s Family Institute in Evanston, IL. Having completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota in Psychology, with an emphasis on Neuroscience, Chantel values the importance of the biological component in emotional well-being. Her previous experience working in neurotherapeutics with individuals experiencing depressive and anxiety disorders and as a legislative advocate at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-MN) has given her a systemic knowledge of mental health and the many places that life’s issues can stem from.
Chantel works collaboratively with clients, providing guidance in overcoming personal obstacles. By creating a non-judgmental environment that celebrates and welcomes each individual’s uniqueness, she hopes to develop genuine therapeutic relationships that encourage growth and personal healing. Recognizing that it can be difficult to take that first step towards seeking help, Chantel looks to empower clients by helping them to find their strengths and create meaningful goals so they can once again live purposeful, joy-filled lives.
