Christine Jones – MA
Christine graduated Iowa State University with two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies. With her interest in wanting to help and work families, she sought out marriage and family therapy programs. In May 2017, Christine will graduate the University of St. Thomas earning her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a family therapy concentration. She completed her practicum at Melrose Center for eating disorders working with adolescents, adults, and families. Along with working with eating disorders she has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, mood, and behavioral disorders.
Christine’s passion is to help children and families realize their strengths and abilities throughout therapy, as well as come together to gain strength from one another. She believes this can be achieved by a person centered and Family Systems perspective with clients. Along with that, she has learned the importance of tailoring therapy to each individual. Christine utilizes an integrative-approach to assess the whole person including each client’s needs, strengths, and skills. She hopes to provide compassionate, authentic, and collaborative therapy to all clients.
