Dr. Andrew Scarbrough – Psy.D., LP
Dr. Scarbrough is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes treating individuals, couples and families. He uses an integrative style of therapy which draws from a variety of evidence based interventions that are custom tailored to an individual based on their specific needs. His work experience has placed value on working with individuals from all walks of life who have different personality styles, cultural backgrounds, beliefs, values, and levels of motivation for change. The result of this adaptive style of treatment is a comfortable strength-based experience that instills hope, empowers an individual, and brings about a positive change.
Dr. Scarbrough has clinical experience in providing therapy to individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma (both acute and chronic), severe and persistent mental illness, personality disorders, and substance abuse. He is well-versed in therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, Existential, and Person-Centered. These strategies are selected to meet specific client goals whether it be to address more immediate concerns, long standing difficulties stemming from past experiences, social problems, or finding meaning in life or having a supportive ally as you navigate through difficult times.
Dr. Scarbrough completed his training at the nationally accredited Minneapolis School of Professional Psychology. In addition to receiving advanced therapeutic training, Dr. Scarbrough has performed variety psychological assessments related to personality, intellectual capacity, adaptive functioning, AD/HD determination, general diagnostic clarification, and court-ordered forensic evaluations. These evaluations can be used to connect individuals to specialized programs, financial resources, determining medication options, developing educational or vocational accommodations, and targeting therapeutic interventions more precisely.
