Dr. Nicole Johnson – Psy.D.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Johnson has experience working with individuals and families with a wide range of mental health and relational concerns. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment and offers a safe and supportive space for clients to explore difficult emotions and experiences. Dr. Johnson encourages a balance of change with acceptance and stresses the importance of self-compassion and self-care to achieve mental wellness. She has provided services in a variety of settings, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, in-home, day treatment, group, and in the community. Her experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, behavior disorders, relational difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), personality disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, phobias, and chronic pain.  Dr. Johnson also has experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and provides psychological testing for clients who would benefit from additional assessment of their mood, thinking, and behavior. 

Dr. Johnson earned an undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Minnesota- Duluth and a Master’s in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas.  She completed her Doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
