Emma Nordness – MSW, LICSW

Mental Health Professional

Emma Nordness is a clinical social worker who completed her Bachelor’s of Social Work at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and her Master’s of Social Work at The University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University of St. Paul, MN.  Emma draws from a variety of theoretical frameworks, including but not limited to developmental theory, attachment theory, relational theories, and cognitive theories.  She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect to alleviate psychological distress, and serves as the greatest agent for change and growth to improve one’s quality of life.

Emma is experienced providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents, children, and families who have experienced anxiety, depression, school avoidance, trauma, and eating disorders.  She also has experience facilitating group therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention.  Emma works to bring a collaborative experience to therapy in order to meet the unique goals and need of each client and family.
