Eugene welcomes individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds into a collaborative and inclusive therapeutic environment. He uses narrative therapy when working with individuals, couples, and families. Eugene views the problems that people face as separate from themselves, rather than a central part of their identity. Eugene collects the rich context of people’s life stories to identify the times when problems that show up in people’s lives, as well as the times they were free of them.
Eugene received his B.S. in Family Social Science from the University of MN before completing his MA in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Family Psychology, at the University of St. Thomas. He is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in Narrative Therapy. Eugene is also certified in Basic Discernment Counseling, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and he is Prepare/Enrich Certified. Eugene is currently working on his PhD in Family Social Science – Couple & Family Therapy at the University of MN.
