Jeannie Farrell – BA
Jeannie is a graduate student at the University of St. Thomas where she is pursuing her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Her undergraduate work was also at the University of St. Thomas where she completed a double major in Psychology and Spanish. She completed an undergraduate internship at Washburn Center for Children where she found a passion for working with children and families. Jeannie has clinical experience working in a variety of contexts such as day treatment, schools, and hospital settings.
Jeannie wishes to empower children and families to help find their strengths through therapy. Jeannie believes in meeting the client where they are at and tailoring therapy so that it is unique to each individual. She believes in a family systems perspective as well as being culturally sensitive and compassionate with the client. She wishes to create change through relationships that are open and full of trust to assist the client in their therapeutic journey.
