Lydia is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in art. Upon graduating from the U of M, Lydia continued on to pursue a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Her clinical experience took place at the Community School Collaborative, where she worked within a high school with individuals, families, and groups, helping them to cope with conflict, school adjustment, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation.

Lydia approaches therapy with hope and determination, working to build a genuine therapeutic relationship that is grounded in respect. Lydia uses a systemic perspective, maintaining the belief that the world around us has an impact on our mental health and well being. She integrates structural, solution focused, narrative, emotionally focused, and experiential therapeutic techniques into her work. Lydia meets her clients where they’re at, with humor, compassion, and candid honesty, always honoring each clients experience and working collaboratively toward goals.
