Sara Eby – MA, LPCC
Mental Health Professional
Sara provides individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults who may experience anxiety, mood disorders, or trauma, and who may be in crisis or going through difficult transitions. She has experience with individual and family therapy, facilitating group therapy, and providing crisis intervention. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient units, hospital emergency rooms, short-term residential, partial hospital, and day treatment programs.
Sara draws from a variety of theoretical frameworks, including but not limited to psychodynamic, attachment, relational and person centered theories. She believes the past matters because it impacts the present, and there is always a reason for behaviors, emotions, and reactions. Sara has experienced how change is facilitated by understanding and processing experiences related to the root of the problem. She believes when a client feels understood, seen, and accepted, they will be empowered to make the changes they believe will improve their relationships and quality of life.
Sara believes a genuine and caring relationship is at the core of what makes therapy successful. She creates a safe and supportive environment where clients are able to express themselves without worrying about how they will be perceived. Sara feels it is important to both listen and give feedback, while using empathy and humor in her interactions with clients.
