Abigail Maiz – MA

Abigail (she/her) received her Master’s in Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health focus from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Prior to earning her M.A., she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Athletic Healthcare Certificate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Abigail has experience working with clients with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, behavioral regulation, and relational concerns. She has a special interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
Abigail aspires to provide an inclusive and safe environment for a wide range of clients. She is aware that clients enter the therapy space with varying comfortability and is open to assist clients where they feel most at ease. She emphasizes collaboration with clients to help them work towards personal goals. Abigail utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach to incorporate elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy to align with the unique needs of clients. She also implements mindfulness-based treatment, relaxation techniques, and art therapeutically.
