Alexis Dockman – MA
Post-Master's Fellow
Alexis has experience working with children and adolescents in school, inpatient, and camp settings. She places incredible value on creating and maintaining a therapeutic relationship based on mutual trust, empathy, and respect. Overall, her goal is to empower children and adolescents to take ownership of their own progress and decision-making and to utilize skills learned in therapy on their own in their daily life settings.
Alexis has experience working on behavior management, social skills, self-esteem, anxiety and depression, academic-related stressors, relationship conflicts, executive functioning challenges, and eating disorders.
Focusing on collaborating with each client, Alexis tries to utilize person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based therapy approaches.
