Amanda Palmer – MSW, LICSW

Amanda (she/her) is a 2015 graduate of University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University with a masters in Clinical Social Work. She has extensive experience in treating community-wide trauma, complex PTSD, pandemic stress, crisis, grief and loss, mood disorders, psychosis, self-destructive behaviors, and addiction.
Amanda enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She uses an eclectic treatment approach individualized to her client’s unique needs. In her therapy, Amanda uses CBT, dialectical informed treatment, motivational interviewing, trauma informed psychotherapy, harm reduction, distress tolerance, crisis intervention, and skills coaching. She also integrates creative approaches to wellness such as art, culture, holistic practices, and meditation.
Those who know Amanda describe her as quirky, humorous, and welcoming. She is LGBTQ+, gender informed, and neurodivergent affirming, as well as a strong believer in social justice and equality.
