Amy Strand – MA, LPCC

Mental Health Professional

Amy (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and holds Masters degrees in both Counseling & Psychological Services and in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in trauma.

With 18 years dedicated in the mental health field, Amy is experienced in various capacities of mental health including, community mental health, residential treatment, crisis counseling, and individual therapy.

Amy collaborates with clients to identify goals and address barriers to change. She utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling using a variety of therapy techniques such as client-centered, CBT/DBT, developmental, and holistic approaches.

A large portion of Amy’s work has been with adults experiencing serious mental illnesses including major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD/complex trauma, other anxiety disorders and chemical dependency concerns.

Creating a warm, validating and safe environment that makes clients feel comfortable is a high priority for Amy, as she knows therapy can help bridge the gap of where you are and where you want to be.
