Ben Holden – BA

Practicum Student

Ben (he/him) earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Gustavus Adolphus College and is currently completing his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas. Ben has experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum as a Behavioral Analyst. Ben is passionate about working with a range of clients across the lifespan and creating a safe space to discuss personal struggles of all magnitudes.

Ben takes a relationship-centered, existentialist approach to therapy and is dedicated to helping clients manage life transitions, identity recognition/development, personal growth areas and exploration of life values. He values client and counselor collaboration throughout the therapeutic process, working with clients and their families to ensure that treatment impacts change on what matters most to them. Ben supports a judgement-free safe space that allows clients to bring a variety of stressors, emotional responses, validates their concerns, and allows for relationship dynamics in the therapeutic environment.
