David Lynum – MA
David is a practicum student enrolled in the Counseling Education program at the University of Minnesota. Prior to pursuing his Master’s of Education, David obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College. David has a variety of experiences working with children and adolescents, providing direct support to build meaningful relationships. David strives to form therapeutic environments where clients feel comfortable to share their authentic selves in pursuit of self empowerment and acceptance. David believes clients are the experts on their own lives. David emphasizes collaborative exploration to identify and work towards personal goals, values, and aspirations. His interests include child and adult development, strength based care, and the practice of inclusive and culturally responsive approaches that foster growth.
