Dr. Caleb Johnson – DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Caleb Johnson is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Minnesota. He has more than a decade of experience providing mental health care across inpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, community-based services, crisis services, and outpatient settings as both a registered nurse and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Caleb provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning for adolescents and adults.
Caleb works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, bipolar and other mood disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, substance use disorders, and challenges related to stress and life transitions. He has particular interest and experience working with individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. He strives to create a welcoming, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.
His approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with a holistic understanding of mental health and wellness. Caleb recognizes that emotional well-being is influenced by physical health, relationships, culture, environment, and life experiences. He works collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their strengths, values, and goals while promoting lasting recovery and improved quality of life.
Caleb’s doctoral work focused on improving cultural competence and reducing disparities in mental health care. He is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and remains committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care.
