Earlier in her career as an RN, Dawn recognized the impact mental health had on quality of life and felt there were times where needs went unaddressed. Her approach to treatment is client-centered, where a collaborative plan is created to alleviate emotional distress, manage symptoms of the mental illness and facilitate personal growth and development.
Dawn embraces a holistic approach to health and wellness, where her treatment modalities are evidence-based in nature. She welcome’s exploring complementary and alternative forms of therapy in addition to traditional psychopharmacology therapy.
Throughout her journey in the mental health field, she’s found that knowledge can be very empowering for illness management and recovery; therefore, Dawn makes psychoeducation a priority during her client interactions to help build resiliency along with self awareness.
Dawn truly appreciates the relationship-based care her clients invite her to be a part of.
