Gali Kramer – MS
Doctoral Intern
Gali is a doctoral intern completing the final stage of her clinical psychology training. Gali spent her doctoral years in the nation’s capital, at George Washington University, in the District of Columbia. Over the course of her training, Gali has developed an appreciation for the role that various systems (family, society, politics, etc.) play in the life of the individual. Gali works with clients from a non-pathological approach to help foster insight into the multiple personal, cultural, and systemic factors that led to this moment in their life. Gali is trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and practices from a relational stance, emphasizing the significance of early relationships on clients’ development and sense of self. Gali will work with clients to explore interpersonal relationship patterns that foster and/or hinder personal growth.
Gali has experience in various community mental health clinics where she had the privilege to work with individual clients ages six through sixty. Additionally, Gali has experience conducting comprehensive assessments with teens and young adults. As a licensed graduate professional counselor in the state of Maryland, Gali practiced in Intensive Outpatient and Day Treatment programs for women and queer folks with eating disorders. Gali has a special interest in this area and is intentional about utilizing a trauma informed approach to empower clients to make meaningful changes in their recovery.
