Ingrid Roof – MA

Post-Master's Fellow

Ingrid (she/her) received her Master of Counseling Psychology degree from the University of St. Thomas. Before attending UST, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Ingrid has experience working with children and adolescents, dealing with a variety of concerns. These concerns include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, and relational concerns.

Ingrid employs a combination of person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches in therapy. She incorporates the following modalities to cater to the unique needs of each client: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Ingrid understands the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and leads her practice empathetically. Ingrid provides clients with skills to functionally deal with their emotions and strives to create a safe and empowering environment through validation and acknowledgement to help make meaningful change in her clients’ lives.
