Jessica Emerson – MSW, LGSW

Post-Master's Fellow

Jessica Emerson (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Bethel University. Jessica has extensive experience supporting children with intellectual disabilities and high emotional needs, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals experiencing substance use disorders, and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Jessica specializes in working with clients facing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, emotional and behavioral concerns, identity exploration, and substance use disorder. She is particularly skilled in helping clients navigate complex emotional experiences and fostering resilience.

In therapy, Jessica takes a trauma-informed approach, using motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). She emphasizes unconditional positive regard, ensuring that clients feel valued and respected. Jessica is dedicated to preserving each client’s dignity, fostering an empathetic and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
