Jessica Gerhan – MS, LPCC
Mental Health Professional
Jessica (she/her) is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). She earned a Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota along with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities.
During her tenure as an LPCC, Jessica has experience working with individuals and families from all walks of life. Her background includes working with neurodivergent populations, children, young adults, and adults. Jessica has training in child development, interpersonal relationships, and mood regulation. Her work has provided her experience working with individuals living with anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, and others. It is also important to Jessica that she provides therapeutic support to parents, caregivers, and those who are simply feeling languished or “not quite right” as they cope with various stressors.
Jessica’s passion for therapy is directly connected to the therapeutic relationship. Creating a safe, open, judgment-free space where clients are invited to be their authentic self is at the epicenter of each session. Jessica curates this sense of safety and connectedness through art, play therapy, and traditional talk therapy.
Within her work, Jessica employs various practices to meet each client where they are, including cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies. These modalities enable the client to identify negative thought patterns as they work to achieve identifiable, measurable goals. Jessica tailors these techniques and others to children and adolescents as they learn to manage their own feelings, establish a sense of self, and navigate the world around them.
