Jonah Venegas – BA
Jonah (he/they) is currently enrolled in the M.A. MFT Program at Bethel Seminary. Jonah is trained as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator to work with couples and also has 3+ years of previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families as a mental health case worker.
Jonah takes a relational and strengths-based approach to therapy with the goal of clients feeling safe to explore and process ideas, feelings, and parts of themselves that they may not have felt comfortable exploring before. Jonah also approaches therapy with a systems lens, being curious about how clients’ relationships, cultural background, spirituality, and other contextual factors relate to what they are bringing into the therapeutic space.
Jonah’s goal is to help clients engage in the healing work they are already capable of doing by providing them the dedicated time and space to lean into themselves, and they hope to do this through a combination of attachment, narrative, and systemic approaches that are most beneficial for the client.
Jonah also speaks fluent Spanish for clients who are most comfortable accessing services in their native language.
