Jordyn Minni – MSW, LGSW
Jordyn (she/her) completed her Master of Social Work degree from the University of St. Thomas. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Prior to completing her MSW, she worked as a paraprofessional in an autism day treatment program and as an advocate for individuals and families experiencing interpersonal and sexual violence. Jordyn has experience working with children and adults experiencing trauma, family and relationship challenges, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Jordyn is passionate about the use of play therapy as a treatment for children who have experienced trauma. She incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and interpersonal therapy approaches in work with clients. Her therapeutic approach focuses on identifying an individual’s or family’s needs and goals for treatment, while also considering systemic influences that impact functioning. In order to ensure her clients achieve emotional and physical well-being, Jordyn strives to empower clients both within the therapeutic relationship and within their broader systems.
In addition to her Master’s degree, Jordyn completed courses and training specific to Integrated Behavioral Health Care through a National Institute of Health grant program.
