Kelsey Malmstedt – MA, LPCC

Kelsey (she/her) received her master’s degree in Counseling and Student Personnel with an emphasis on Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Kelsey’s experience throughout her Master’s training and early career includes college counseling, individual and family counseling across the lifespan, intensive outpatient groups, and preschool-aged Autism Spectrum Disorder day treatment. Her background includes experience working with identity development, multicultural concerns, grief, depression, and anxiety.
Kelsey’s therapeutic approach focuses on collaborative efforts with clients in a safe, empathic environment to process thoughts and emotions. She utilizes an integrative approach to help provide care for each individual to fit their unique needs. She pulls strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered, and behavioral therapies to provide evidence-based counseling in an individualized manner. Kelsey strives to meet each client where they are at and provide a compassionate, welcoming space to empower them and to help them build coping skills to carry with them throughout life.
