Kiersten Hemsing – MA

Post-Master's Fellow

Kiersten Hemsing (she/her) graduated the Educational Psychology Master’s program at the University of Minnesota -Twin Cities, with a focus on clinical mental health counseling. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University.

Past experiences for Kiersten include inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient psychiatric experience working alongside children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health concerns such as traumatic experiences, anxiety, and depression. Primarily, she worked with children and adolescents with traumatic experiences, behavioral concerns, anxiety, and depression.

Kiersten enjoys working through a family system and cognitive behavioral therapy approach. While working with clients, she incorporates aspects of the Developmental Repair Model, within and outside of the day treatment setting.
