Liv Haag – BA

Practicum Student

Liv (she/her) earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College. Liv is passionate about working with clients of all ages and is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and accepting space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

As a counselor in training, Liv values the importance of building authentic therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration. She is especially interested in person-centered therapy and appreciates its emphasis on creating a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and grow at their own pace. Liv has experience working with children with cognitive disabilities and values supporting individuals and families with compassion and understanding. She is also passionate about working with and supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, striving to create an affirming space where clients can feel safe expressing their identities and experiences.

Liv believes that each individual’s experiences are unique and she is dedicated to helping clients navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, identity development, and personal growth while fostering resilience, self-awareness, and confidence.
