Megan Wallin – MA

Post-Master's Fellow

Megan (she/her/hers) graduated from Northern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Megan attended Chicago State University in Chicago, IL and completed their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.  Megan returned home to Minnesota to begin her professional career working with teens and adults in a wide variety of mental health settings including hospitals, residential programming, chemical dependency, and intensive outpatient.

Megan has over seven years experience working in various mental health settings providing a safe space for clients to hold feelings and experiences in a therapeutic environment grounded in mindfulness, truthfulness, self-awareness, compassion and empathy. Megan has experience working with humans living with anxiety, depression, LQBTQIA+ issues/transitions, couples issues, chronic pain and more.

Megan provides a direct and honest structure in her treatment approach with teens and adults while also providing a space to set healthy boundaries, build self esteem, foster new changes and ideas, and self discovery. Megan utilizes a holistic, culturally competent and client-centered approach pulling tools from (however not limited to) Existentialism, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
