Rita Martin – MA, LMFT
Mental Health Professional
Rita works primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults, aiming to build skills to help them with current issues such as school stress, anxiety, depression, family changes, life transitions, self-esteem, and other issues while also working to develop lifelong healthy coping skills and strategies. She is passionate about working with individuals managing eating disorders and the unique challenges for all ages of people within this population.
In her career, Rita has experience with inpatient, IOP/PHP, and outpatient care. Rita enjoys creating a space for clients to explore mental health openly and honestly, creating and building trust within themselves.
When working with a client, Rita’s focus starts with meeting an individual where they are at. Her initial goal is to foster an environment where people feel heard, comfortable, supported, and encouraged. During sessions, Rita incorporates DBT skills along with CBT, play therapy techniques, and systems work.
