Taylor Listul – MA

Practicum Student

Taylor (he/him/his) has his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hamline University and a master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Counseling Psychology. Taylor’s past professional experiences include residential substance abuse treatment facilities and college counseling centers. In these settings, he was able to develop insights into working with the following issues: mood disorders

(anxiety/depression), trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, stress, relationship issues, and grief. Populations he has special interests in working with include adults, college students, and the LGBTQ+ community. In his work with clients, Taylor takes an evidence and strengths based approach collaborating with his client’s unique perspective and history. He strives to create a nonjudgmental, safe and authentic therapeutic environment working towards his client’s goals and creating positive change. Taylor utilizes a variety of theoretical frameworks with clients, and they include: Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), grounding techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), relationship skills, emotion regulation, and self-care.

*This doctoral practicum student is supervised by a licensed mental health professional.
