Zoe Zanella – MA
Post Master's Fellow
Zoe Zanella is a therapist who is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Zoe has experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families across outpatient, community, and correctional settings.
Zoe works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, the effects of difficult or traumatic life experiences, anger management concerns, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and family and relationship challenges. Her experience includes supporting adolescents, young adults, and families navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. She is particularly drawn to working with clients navigating the lasting effects of trauma, adverse life experiences, identity development, and relationship concerns. Zoe recognizes the courage it takes to seek support and considers it a privilege to be invited into a client’s story and healing process.
Her approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to the unique needs of each person. Zoe strives to meet clients where they are, approach their experiences with curiosity, and help them explore new perspectives when helpful. She understands that no single approach works for everyone and works alongside clients to identify strategies that fit their goals, strengths, and values. Her work is grounded in a relational, attachment-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed framework while integrating evidence-based interventions to meet each client’s unique needs.
