Integrated Behavioral Health

Lorenz’s integrated care program to offers health systems the range of mental health integrations– from coordinated to co-located mental health to fully integrated care.

Integrating medical and mental healthcare increases access and decreases barriers. Lorenz’s goal in developing integrated care is to decrease the fragmentation in the health system by offering multiple services under a single roof where clinicians can collaborate and drive better outcomes for patients, hospitals, and the community alike.

Glencoe Regional Health

Glencoe Regional Health

Currently operating as a co-located service, part of the spectrum of Integrated Behavioral Health, Lorenz provides professional staff and resources and works closely with GRH providers to ensure their patients receive the care they need. Lorenz is housed on the same floor as GRH Primary and Speciality Care providers, share an electronic health record (EHR) and have the opportunity for in-person collaboration of care with the other GRH members of a patient’s care team. GRH patients must work with their primary care team prior to establishing psychotherapeutic or psychotropic treatment with Lorenz clinicians.

Future Partnerships

The program’s charge is to offer behavioral health care, psychotherapy and psychiatric services, across the lifespan, in multiple formats to increase access and decrease barriers to care, including a traditional outpatient model of care, being embedded into routine primary, and specialty care visits, and a consultation-liaison services.

Dr. Karen Chinnock, Director of Psychological Services

Dr. Chinnock oversees Integrated Behavioral Health, working closely with the Clinic’s partners to coordinate the intricacies of integrated care. Karen oversees the daily operations of this team, with direct oversight of clinician outcomes and success. Lorenz Clinic partners directly with Glencoe Regional Health (GRH) by providing co-located behavioral health services to their patients and on-site consultation as a resource to their healthcare providers.
