Ari Schoenholtz – MA

Clinical Extern

Ari (he/him) is a clinical extern who is currently working towards a Psy.D. in clinical psychology at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. He completed his doctoral internship at Natalis Counseling. Before coming to Minnesota, he earned a master’s in clinical psychology and a bachelor’s in political science.

Ari works with adults and adolescents who are experiencing grief and loss, relationship challenges, family stress, life transitions, and many other issues. He aims to foster a secure and unhurried space where each client can open up at their own pace. His approach to therapy is informed by relational psychodynamic perspectives viewed through a multicultural lens, particularly the ways patterns and dynamics in early relationships shape our adult interactions and reactions.

Ari has experience providing trauma-informed therapy in community mental health settings. He has a keen interest in recovery from trauma, supporting refugees, and gender identity and expression.

Previously, Ari worked in public health and politics, where he served as a field organizer for then-Senator Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign. He speaks conversational Spanish.
