Josephine Melek – BS

Practicum Student

Josephine is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with a specialization in Community Mental Health from the University of North Dakota. Prior to this, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, studying Psychology and minoring in Rehabilitation and Human Services.

Josephine has experience in a partial hospitalization setting working with children and adolescents who are struggling with symptoms of mental illness that interfere with their ability to function in their daily tasks, such as going to school, progressing academically, making and keeping friends, and participating in family life. When working with clients, Josephine provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to where the client is coming from, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
