Maggie Clair – BS

Practicum Student

Maggie (she/her) is currently attending The Family Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois working to obtain her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  She also currently holds her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Creighton University.  Prior to working at Lorenz Clinic, Maggie worked with children with ASD in Minneapolis.  She also has experience coaching soccer and as a personal trainer.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship challenges Maggie utilizes evidence-based approaches to her treatment, including psychodynamic, person-centered, multicultural, and acceptance and commitment therapy.  Maggie’s holistic approach recognizes the complex interplay of factors affecting mental health and well-being and is deeply committed to providing a nurturing space that encourages open exploration and personal growth.

Maggie has a particular interest in working with adolescents and adults to help them establish clear goals and a realistic, effective plan to achieve them.  She enjoys using her education to look back on early-childhood relationships to analyze where her clients are at now.  In tandem with this attachment-based approach, Maggie strives to maintain a healthy and genuine client-counselor relationship in order to give her clients a positive therapeutic experience.
