Amy Babcock – MS, LPCC

Our struggles in life are like the cycles of the moon – waxing and waning to create feelings of fulfillment, opportunities for new beginnings, and a variety of moments in between. Amy (she/her) strives to create a warm and inviting space where you can come to feel seen, heard, and respected as an individual. She attempts to bring her authentic self into sessions to create an experience of comfort and consistency in the process. She received her Bachelors of Psychology from the University of Central Florida and her Masters of Science from Mercer University, and is currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Minnesota.

Amy specializes in trauma work. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR, ages 6+) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT, ages 6-17). Amy works with children (ages 6-12), adolescents (ages 13-17), and adults (age 18+). She has experience and training in play therapy.

In her work, Amy believes that the therapeutic relationship is as important as the process itself. She pulls from an eclectic assortment of theories, including Humanistic, Adlerian, and Feminist theories of psychology.
