Emily Calhoon – MA

Post-Master's Fellow

Emily (she/her) received her Master of Counseling Psychology degree from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to attending UST, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota – Duluth.

Emily has experience working with clients with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, and relational concerns. She has a special interest in working with children and adolescents.

Emily uses a person-centered and attachment-focused approach to therapy. She incorporates the following modalities to cater to the unique needs of each client: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Her practice is based in cultural humility and a trauma-informed approach. Emily strives to create a safe environment for her clients to navigate life’s challenges.
