Julia Carpenter – MSW, LICSW

Mental Health Professional

Julia (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Psychology from Macalester College, a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan, and completed a post-MSW fellowship at the University of Michigan Psychological Clinic.

Her clinical experience includes providing individual, group, and couples therapy to adults of all ages. She is especially passionate about working with young adults experiencing anxiety-related disorders.

Julia is mindful of the many -isms that shape how we each experience the world, and strives to create a space that honors her clients’ lived experiences. Her therapy approach is collaborative and integrative, often drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and exposure therapy to tailor a therapeutic experience that meets her clients’ needs.
