Kate Houghton – MS

Post-Master's Fellow

Kate (she/her) is a mental health specialist finalizing her license in clinical counseling. With many years of experience working in schools, Kate is passionate about social emotional learning skills for all ages, with a strong interest in working with children and teens. She is also experienced in working with family changes and periods of transitions throughout the life cycle. Kate has expanded training in trauma and crisis response.

When working with Kate, clients should know that her work is trauma-informed and based on cognitive behavioral therapy. She focuses on a holistic approach and utilizes somatic therapy techniques. Kate is centered on optimism and balance, providing compassionate counseling with a straightforward approach to building knowledge and skills focused on encouragement and empowerment.
