Sarah Petersen – MSW, LICSW

Sarah Petersen (she/her) graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work. Sarah has experience working in rural healthcare in both the hospital and outpatient clinic setting as well as with veterans affairs.
When working with clients, Sarah strives to create a safe space where her clients can heal and pursue their goals. She utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach drawing from cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and acceptance and commitment theories with a variety of disorders and focus areas including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, and trauma. In session, Sarah focuses on partnering with each individual client to identify their unique strengths, needs, and barriers in life and tailors her approach in order to best meet their goals. Mental health is a journey and Sarah loves being able to go along the ups and downs with her clients.
