Dr. Elijah Wood – DSW, MSW, LICSW

Elijah is joining Lorenz Clinic after completing his Master’s degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University. Prior to earning his Master’s degree, Elijah completed his bachelors in Psychology from Winona State University.
Throughout Elijah’s educational career, he has worked hard to build his knowledge of psychotherapy while helping those with issues such as anxiety, depression, and grief. Interventions that Elijah uses include strength based approaches as well as person-centered approaches and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Elijah has experience working with youth as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. It is his belief that therapy can be an essential part of personal growth and improvement. From Elijah’s perspective, therapy is not only about finding happiness, but also finding the beauty of all emotions. It is his hope that those who need help feel comfortable to take that first step and to know that through collaboration, they can live better days.
While having a lifelong interest in human services, Elijah also has a passion for music and theater, and has actively participated in musicals and playing the guitar.
