Janette Driscoll – MS, LAMFT

Clinical Extern

Janette (she/her) is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist pursuing her doctorate in family social science at the University of Minnesota. Before coming to Minnesota, she earned a master’s in marriage and family therapy and a bachelor’s in elementary education.

Working with children and adolescents in their family context for issues related to anxiety, family conflict, school performance, and the general transitions that accompany growing up are of special interest to Janette. She also works regularly with couples, mainly through Emotion-Focused Therapy.

During therapy, Janette is mindful of the vulnerability that it takes to be present in that space. Her approach is centered on building a trusting relationship with each client and helping them access their own voice to make change. She often uses art, manipulatives, and games in her work with children.
