Mental Health Professional

Sam Boyer is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of MN, Morris and her master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN.
She began her career working with college age students. Sam helped them navigate the life changes they were experiencing, through the use of psychoeducation, individual and group therapy. Sam then transitioned to the public school system where she provided school linked mental health services to students in grades K-12. In this setting she worked collaboratively with students, their family, outside providers, and the school to counsel, support, and advocate for the students and their mental health.
Services with Sam would include solution focused, person-center, and emotion focused approaches. Through the use of talk, play, and art therapies she addresses concerns with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, Autism, and trauma. Clients that meet with Sam can expect to be heard, validated, seen as a real person, and supported throughout their treatment.
